Assignment 9

Assignment 9: How to transform recipes for disappointment into recipes for success?

How to transform recipes for disappointment into recipes for success?

When you know what doesn’t work, you know where to start making a change.

Your recipes for disappointment reveal what’s holding you back from being successful.
This exercise helps you transform what didn’t work into something that does work for you.

By turning them around, you can create new recipes for success—short, powerful statements that support new behavior.

Exercise

  1. Open your list of recipes for disappointment.
  2. Take the first one and rewrite it as a recipe for success.
  3. Use this format:
    "I + verb in the present tense + ..."
  4. Repeat the process until you’ve transformed your entire list.

Examples

“I procrastinate” → “I start on time”
“I hesitate too long” → “I make a decision”

This is how you turn insight into action.
